Anthony (“Tony”) J. Hanna is of counsel to the firm, and focuses his practice in the areas of TV, film and digital production, child actor ratifications and entertainment union issues. Tony’s extensive knowledge of SAG, WGA, DGA, IATSE rules, DLSE regulations, and OSHA safety requirements, allows his clients to confidently navigate the complex world of union rules.

A SAG veteran, who authored the theatrical contracts manual and literally “wrote the book” on child actor guidelines, Tony is a go-to lawyer for studios. Tony also oversees child labor and child ratification matters for multiple music industry clients.

Prior to joining Pessah Law Group, Anthony served for fourteen years as a partner at Pierce Law Group, where his clients included Lionsgate and Netflix. His role in the partnership at Pierce was preceded by an eight-year tenure at the Screen Actors Guild, where he worked within the Theatrical Contracts Department. During his time at SAG, Anthony worked on over 2,000 film productions and was widely recognized as one of SAG’s foremost liaisons in rectifying issues between producers, the Guild, and its members. Prior to SAG, Anthony practiced general civil litigation for many years. Anthony is active in civic and community affairs and is originally from Los Angeles, California.
